ABOUT

Miryam Sivan is a former New Yorker who has lived in Israel for thirty years. She teaches literature and writing at the University of Haifa.
Much of her fiction is about the experiences of ex-pats in love, in flux, in the liminal space between cultures, languages, and historical epochs. Her short fiction has appeared in various journals in the US and UK and two of her stories were adapted for the stage in London and New York.

Her story, "Niagara Falls," just won First Prize in Moment Magazine Karma Fiction Contest.
Her novel, Make it Concrete, was a Finalist in the First Novel Category, Next Generation Indie Book Awards, 2020.
Her novel, The Heights, was nominated for the Pushcart Press's Editor's Book Award, 1989.
